• Joeaonz Exhaust Fan Simple Installation Guide‌

  Please follow these steps for a safe and correct installation. It is recommended that a qualified electrician performs the electrical connections.

  ‌Step 1: Check/Prepare Ceiling Opening‌

      If you are ‌replacing an old fan‌: Measure the existing opening to ensure it is large enough to accommodate the new fan housing (A) dimensions of ‌7-1/2 inches x 7-1/4 inches‌.

      If you are doing a ‌new installation‌: Cut a ‌7-3/4 inch x 7-1/2 inch‌ opening in the ceiling.

  ‌Step 2: Assemble the Duct Connector‌

      Attach the duct connector (C) to the fan housing (A).

  ‌Step 3: Remove the Fan Motor‌

      Remove the three side screws that secure the fan motor.

      Unplug the motor connector and carefully pull the fan motor out of the housing (A).

  ‌Step 4: Connect the Wiring‌

      Remove the wiring box cover from the fan housing (A).

      Pull the house wires through the hole in the wiring box cover. Using the provided quick connectors, connect the house wiring from the wall switch to the corresponding wires from the fan housing (A). ‌Note:‌ Please refer to the wiring diagram on page 4 of the manual for correct connections. If your house wire colors do not match, consult a licensed electrician.

      Carefully push the connected wires back into the wiring box and reattach the cover.

  ‌Step 5: Connect the Vent Duct‌

      Connect a 4-inch round duct to the duct connector on the fan housing (A). Secure it with duct tape or a clamp, ensuring the duct vents to the outside.

  ‌Step 6: Install the Fan Housing‌

      Place the fan housing (A) with connected wires and duct into the ceiling opening.

      Position it so the bottom edge of the housing is flush with the surface of the ceiling board.

      Secure the housing to the ceiling joist by driving three wood screws (AA) through the holes on the side of the housing. ‌Important:‌ The housing must be installed flush with the ceiling board, or the grille mounting springs may not reach the slots inside.

  ‌Step 7: Install the Fan Motor & LED Light Board‌

      Plug the fan motor connector (4-hole to 4-hole) into the receptacle inside the housing.

      Place the fan motor back into the housing, aligning the duct with the opening, and re-secure it with the three screws removed in Step 3.

      Plug the LED light board connector (2-hole to 2-hole) into its corresponding receptacle.

  ‌Step 8: Attach the Grille and Test‌

      Insert the springs of the LED light board/grille into the narrow rectangular slots inside the fan housing.

      Restore power and test the operation of the fan and light to ensure they are working correctly.
